I noticed there were no good solutions for adding an inventor system to VR games, specifically RPG or Survival games. While VR games offer the benefit of having in-world inventories these can sometimes be more limiting than the grid or hotbar style inventories employed by traditional games. Thus I set out to create a reusable system that leverages the benefits of VR to improve upon familiar inventory styles.
This has taken the form of a Unreal Engine 4 Plugin. The plugin is designed to be extendible trough both C++ as well as pure Blueprints. Included are several sample inventory systems that are usable out of the box.
In addition to the full inventory view the plugin also has quick access hotbars, these can either be an inventory by themselves or reflect a section in the full inventory view. These hotbar
